Today, BIKiNNOV is participating in an event on Innovation and Technological Valorization towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 2030), held at the Pavilion of Knowledge, in Lisbon. This event also hosts the annual meetings of CoLAB, CTI, and TTO, as well as the BfK Ideas final, with the objective of providing spaces for discussion and sharing, where experiences and best practices can be disseminated among entities. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a guiding framework to address some of the most urgent issues of our time, such as climate change, migration issues, public health, and food security. For institutions dedicated to research and knowledge transfer, this reality represents both an opportunity and a challenge, being in a privileged position to contribute to social innovation and sustainability.
The aim of this event is to promote reflection on how these entities can collaboratively contribute to solving the main global challenges, putting innovation and knowledge at the service of society. It will also be a moment for exchanging experiences and information on issues such as capacity building, financing, valorization, and internationalization, with joint and individual sessions planned for each type of participant, taking into account their general and specific needs and interests.
BIKiNNOV’s presence at this meeting is particularly significant, as it is driven by the valuable support of the National Innovation Agency (ANI), within the framework of the Interface Mission and its fundamental role in strengthening the innovation ecosystem in Portugal, providing support and essential resources for promising initiatives like ours.
