BIKiNNOV presents Production Capacity Platform for the Two-Wheel Sector on March 24
BIKiNNOV will hold, on March 24, a Public Presentation Event of the Capacity Platform, a digital tool developed within the scope of the Mobilising Agenda for Business Innovation in the Two-Wheel Sector (AM2R).
The platform aims to create a collaborative system for managing productive and technological capacity, enabling companies in the sector to optimize the use of their resources and respond more quickly to fluctuations in demand.
Through this digital solution, companies with idle equipment or unused production capacity will be able to make it available on the platform, while other companies with additional production needs will be able to access those resources. This model promotes greater efficiency in the use of industrial equipment, strengthens cooperation between companies, and contributes to the creation of networks of expertise capable of responding to more technologically complex and higher value-added projects.
In an initial phase, the platform will be aimed at the B2B market, focusing on SMEs in the two-wheel sector, particularly companies operating as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) that produce parts and components for other brands. The tool will allow companies to increase their production capacity, improve responses to demand fluctuations, and in some cases generate new revenue streams by making their equipment available to others.
In the future, the platform may evolve to include other types of users and customized production models, following Industry 4.0 trends, particularly through the use of technologies such as CNC and 3D printing, which enable greater product customization.
Developed to support the digital transformation of the two-wheel industry in Portugal, the platform will be bilingual (Portuguese and English) and designed for web and mobile device use, ensuring accessibility and ease of use.
The public presentation event, taking place on March 24, will be an opportunity for companies, partners, and professionals in the sector to learn first-hand about the platform’s features, understand how they can join this collaborative network, explore new opportunities for cooperation and innovation in the two-wheel ecosystem, and clarify any questions directly with the project team.
