INOVC+ Carries Out Benchmarking Mission in Málaga
Between the 24th and 26th, BIKiNNOV carried out a benchmarking mission to Málaga, Spain, within the scope of the INOVC+ project, with the aim of deepening its knowledge of the regional innovation ecosystem and strengthening its connection to relevant international networks and entities in the field of research, development, and innovation.
This mission included a series of visits to organizations within the scientific, technological, and business system, providing insight into different organizational models, innovation support mechanisms, and strategies for promoting knowledge and technology transfer. The initiative offered a broad perspective on the functioning of one of the most dynamic innovation ecosystems in the European context, as well as on the role of various entities in promoting competitiveness, entrepreneurship, and knowledge valorization.
During the visit, BIKiNNOV also had the opportunity to attend a presentation of the INOVC+ project, which took place at FYCMA – Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga. This moment contributed to the dissemination of the project among an international audience and to strengthening its visibility in the European context, promoting recognition of its activities and strategic objectives.
Participation in this mission enabled BIKiNNOV to strengthen its institutional knowledge, promote the sharing of experiences, and identify best practices with potential application in the national context, contributing to reinforcing its role as an active agent in promoting innovation and knowledge transfer.
INOVC+ is a strategic programme for the Central Region of Portugal that focuses on implementing and consolidating an Innovation Ecosystem for Knowledge and Technology Transfer. Through a network-based collaboration involving 23 partners, it aims to enhance the valorization and transfer of knowledge and R&D&I results to the regional economy. The programme builds on the previous InovC, InovC2020, and InovC+ initiatives. The project has a duration of 30 months and a total eligible investment of approximately €4.1 million, co-financed at 85% by CENTRO2030, Portugal 2030, and the European Union — Bringing Europe Closer to You.
