FIM President visits BIKiNNOV to explore opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
This morning, BIKiNNOV received a visit from the President of the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM), Jorge Viegas, in an initiative whose main objective was to learn about the technical and scientific capabilities of the Technology and Innovation Center, as well as to identify opportunities for business development and future projects in the mobility ecosystem and the two-wheeled industry.
During the visit, Jorge Viegas had the opportunity to closely explore the infrastructures, expertise, and ongoing projects at BIKiNNOV, highlighting its role as a technology interface center born from the industry itself, focused on innovation, knowledge transfer, and the development of advanced solutions for the sustainable mobility sector.
The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) is the world’s leading authority in the regulation, promotion, and development of motorcycling, bringing together national federations and promoting both sport and two-wheel mobility from a global perspective. Under the leadership of Jorge Viegas — the first Portuguese president of the organization — the FIM has been investing in innovative policies and closer collaboration with different stakeholders in the sector, strengthening its international presence.
On the other hand, BIKiNNOV has been positioning itself as a strategic hub for innovation, research, and development, focused on the two-wheel industry and the mobility of the future. The Center works closely with companies, universities, and public entities, promoting the sector’s competitiveness through technology, digitalization, and sustainability.
At the end of the visit, Jorge Viegas presented a symbolic gift to the BIKiNNOV team, emphasizing that it was intended as a source of motivation for all employees. On the occasion, he strongly praised the work being carried out as well as the high level of excellence demonstrated through its capabilities and expertise, highlighting BIKiNNOV’s potential to establish Portugal as an international benchmark in the sector.
This visit reinforces BIKiNNOV’s relevance as a strategic partner in the development of innovative solutions and paves the way for future joint initiatives with international reach.
