BIKiNNOV welcomes Decathlon representatives to explore innovation capabilities in the two-wheel sector

Águeda, September 9, 2026 — BIKiNNOV welcomed an international Decathlon team on September 9, comprising representatives from different strategic areas of bicycle production across its European operations.

The main objective of the visit was to showcase BIKiNNOV’s expertise, infrastructure and services, while exploring its potential as a partner for innovation and development projects in the two-wheel sector, with a particular focus on product and process innovation.

During the visit, the Decathlon team had the opportunity to learn about the various technical and scientific capabilities available at BIKiNNOV, as well as the equipment and solutions that can support companies at different stages of the development and optimization of industrial products and processes.

The meeting also promoted the exchange of knowledge and experience between two organizations with strong ties to the two-wheel sector, creating opportunities to identify potential areas for collaboration and deepen understanding of the industry’s needs and challenges.

The visit is part of BIKiNNOV’s strategy to strengthen its links with companies and make its expertise and infrastructure available to support innovation, contributing to technological development and increased competitiveness in the two-wheel sector.

The initiative is part of project 008ANI – Promotion and Networks, under the Interface Mission – Base Funding for Technology and Innovation Centres, funded by the PRR – Recovery and Resilience Plan and NextGenerationEU.
