BIKiNNOV strengthens international presence at Taichung Bike Week

Águeda, September 2026 — BIKiNNOV – Bike Value Innovation Center Association attended Taichung Bike Week, held from September 15 to 18 in Taiwan, strengthening its ties with the international two-wheel industry and promoting awareness of the innovation expertise and solutions developed in Portugal.

BIKiNNOV’s participation in Taichung Bike Week enabled it to engage directly with companies and professionals from different markets and to keep abreast of the main trends, challenges and opportunities currently shaping the two-wheel industry.

During the event, BIKiNNOV presented its capabilities as a Technology and Innovation Centre (CTI) dedicated to the two-wheel sector, showcasing its ability to support companies in areas such as materials development and characterisation, manufacturing technologies, industrial processes, and product and service development.

BIKiNNOV’s presence in Taichung also provided an opportunity to strengthen international networking, foster new cooperation relationships, and bring the Portuguese innovation ecosystem closer to companies and organisations operating in the global two-wheel market.

The participation also made it possible to closely follow developments in the sector in areas such as electrification, urban mobility, sustainability, digitisation and new product development, topics that are becoming increasingly important for industry competitiveness.

Taichung Bike Week is an important meeting point for manufacturers, suppliers, brands and other stakeholders connected to the international bicycle and mobility industry. BIKiNNOV’s presence in this context helped strengthen its role as an interface between knowledge, innovation and the business community, fostering links between companies and technological expertise.

Through this participation, BIKiNNOV strengthens its internationalisation strategy and its engagement with key markets and stakeholders in the two-wheel industry, helping to increase the visibility of Portuguese capabilities and create new opportunities for collaboration and innovation.

This participation is part of AM2R – Mobilising Agenda for Business Innovation, Project 111 – AM2R Technology and Innovation Centre, funded by the PRR and by European funds under NextGenerationEU.
